Dannii Minogue 'fights to save her relationship with boyfriend Kris Smith

Two of Minogue's tweets in particular suggest that they are having trouble: "Never chase love. If it isn't given freely by another person, it's not worth having."

"Forgiving someone does not mean forgetting what they did. It simply means letting go of the hurt."

Smith replied: "You don't know what you've got til it's gone."

The tweets have since been deleted but friends of the couple have told the paper that Minogue is "not happy about having to choose between work and family, and they have been arguing about this recently".



Minogue, 39, and Smith, 32, have been together since 2008. They have a baby boy, Ethan, who turns one in July.

Minogue was recently axed as judge on the UK X Factor. She had wanted the show's producers to accommodate her commitment to filming Australia's Got Talent but they refused.

Friends told the newspaper Smith, 32, was not a fan of Minogue's workload and was not happy choosing between family and work.

Minogue, 39, was recently removed from UK show X Factor after taking time out to film Australia's Got Talent.

Kris, a former rugby player, also hinted on Twitter that the the couple were going through a rough patch when he said: 'You don't know what you've got til it's gone.'
The tweets were later deleted and the couple are now talking about what to do for their son Ethan's first birthday in July, according to the News of the World.

'Kris is not happy about Dannii's heavy work-load, and wants her to spend more time with him and baby Ethan, and has put his foot down,' a source told the tabloid.
'Dannii is not happy about having to choose between work and family, and they have been arguing about this recently,' said the friend.
The couple, who first met in Ibiza three years ago, have both expressed their joy at becoming parents for the first time.
But their heavy workloads mean they are often apart with one in the UK and the other in Australia.

The paper quoted a source that said: "Kris is not happy about Dannii's heavy workload and wants her to spend more time with him and baby Ethan, and has put his foot down.
